Applicant Commitment

Leadership Greater Topeka requires attendance and participation in the two-day retreat and all class activities, sessions and the celebration luncheon. I understand that if selected I will be expected to spend up to 15 hours outside the scheduled orientation, two-day retreat and eight sessions preparing for class presentations and projects. 

I further understand that if selected I must attend the introductory two-day retreat, all sessions and the celebration luncheon in their entirety. Only one excused absence (nine hours) from Sessions 1-8 will be permitted. Any additional or unexcused absences will prevent graduation from the program.

If accepted into Leadership Greater Topeka program, I or my company/organization will be billed for the tuition fee of $900, which covers all program materials, meals and social hours. Partial scholarships are available. The Selection Committee will award scholarships based on need.

Employer/Principal Commitment

By completing the information below the applicant has full support and commitment of their business, organization or school principal. The signature of the head applicants organization (locally) or school is necessary as an indication of the support of the applicants participation in the program.The employer further understands that attendance at the two-day retreat and all class activities, sessions and celebration luncheon are required for the successful completion of the program.

Conversation with Alumni Representatives

We ask each applicant for the 2020 Leadership Greater Topeka program to visit with two alumni in a brief, informal meeting. This meeting is intended to aquaint applicants with the scope of the program and allow alumni an opportunity to visit with you about your goals and vision for the Greater Topeka area. Please indicate your first, second and third preference time for this meeting. The meeting should take no longer than10 minutes. If none of these times work, you will be called to make special arrangements. Thank You!
